With the Halloween around the corner, it is time to bring out your dark side. Instead of buying a suit from the shop, how about taking some time out and do your own Halloween make-up? It is fun and you will have your own unique make-up compared to the ones bought online or from the shop.
I enjoy doing my own Halloween DIY and, though time consuming, it is fun. All you need are simple kits that are easily available:
Items Required
- Tissue paper
- Fake blood (you can buy this online or from supermarket)
- Latex glue
- Paint Brush + Colours
- Paper Clips/Thread (accessories)
Before you begin, apply a small layer of the latex glue on your arm to check there is no reaction to your skin. For hairy/furry arms, you will have to sacrifice your hair for this purpose.
Here I will show one simple Halloween make-up that you can try at home. Since it will be a subdued Halloween because of the Covid19, might as well do your own make-up and share pictures with friends.
Acid Charred Skin
Below is an easy follow-along video of the make-up. The video is speed up at 4x the regular speed for reference of time.
To speed up the process of drying, use a blow dryer. The drying time takes up most of the time.
For more visual effect, you can add the paper clip or thread that would make the scar appear like a fresh surgery gone wrong.
