Ever wondered why there are some missing numbers between the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Metro Rails?
Currently, the missing stations are in: NS (Red) Line, NE (Purple) Line, CC (Yellow) Line and DT (Blue) line.
Below are the missing station numbers (refer to the image below):
– NS6 (Red Line) between NS5 (Yew Tee) and NS7 (Kranji)
– NE2 (Purple Line) between NE1 (HarbourFront) and NE3 (Outram Park)
– CC18 (Yellow Line) between CC17 (Caldecott) and CC18 (Botanic Garden)
– DT4 (Blue Line) between DT3 (Hillview) and DT5 (Beauty World)

The missing stations are not error in labelling but potential for future stations.
The scheduling of the opening of Hume Station (DT4) on 28 Feb, 2025 fills the gap between Hillview (DT3) and Beauty World (DT5).
The missing stations of NS6 (Red Line) between NS5 (Yew Tee) and NS7 (Kranji), and NE2 (Purple Line) between NE1 (Harbourfront) and NE 3 (Outram Park) have been in existence since the early 200o’s. It is a long wait in the planning.
Will there be a new Line that will create an interchange between them? Or would it be another station in the same line like DT4 (Hume Station)?
Only time will tell but I’m curious!
