If you are looking for an app for a training plan, the Nike Run Club (NRC) – Running Coach is a good option. The NRC provides free training plans for running. I checked similar popular apps of Strava, Runkeeper (by Asics) and Map My Run (by Under Armour) but they provide the training plan with a subscription payment. Why pay for that when NRC app provides that for free?
The NRC app will plan out the training for you based on the time between the training sign up date and the event run date. It is a mix of long distance and short distance running (and both are equally important) with rest days. Do note that the training plan provided by NRC app is dynamic and updates accordingly as you progress with the plan. You can also find training plans on the Internet by experienced runners but the plans are static.
As an amateur runner, the NRC app helped me a lot to train for a full-marathon (42.195 km) in 2019. If you are also an amateur runner and planning for half-marathons or full-marathons, you may like to try NRC app for your training. You can download the app from the respective app store.
Disclaimer: I do not have any affiliation with the app. I benefitted from the app with its free training plan and wanted to share.
